IN a major milestone for India’s logistics and aviation industry, JAS India Projects, a division of JAS Forwarding Worldwide Pvt. Ltd., successfully executed one of the country’s first international charter freighter operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA). The operation involved the transportation of Over-Dimensional Cargo (ODC) aboard an Antonov AN-124 aircraft from Mumbai to Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This landmark achievement highlights the growing capabilities of NMIA as a strategic gateway for specialized air cargo and project logistics. The successful execution demonstrates the airport’s readiness to handle complex, high-value, and oversized cargo movements, strengthening India’s position in the global logistics landscape.
