DTDC Express Ltd., a leading express logistics service provider in India unveiled its 3rd All-Women-Operated-Branch at Thane, Mumbai. The initiative was inaugurated by Abhishek Chakraborty, CEO, DTDC Express Ltd. on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Building on the success of its all-women-operated branch launched earlier at Marol (Mumbai) & Kolkata, the Thane branch will further reinforce the company’s commitment to promoting gender equity in the logistics sector. The Thane hub, spanning 7,500 sq. ft, plays a crucial role in DTDC’s day-to-day operations, handling over 100 tons of inbound and outbound parcels every month. This facility offers a unique opportunity for female employees, as they will manage approximately 30% of the shipments monthly, each weighing over 3 kg. The introduction of an all-women team in this dynamic hub is a significant step towards transforming the logistics landscape, fostering an environment where women are not only participants but also leaders in shaping the future of the industry.
